Executive Profile

A successful service business like PenChecks Trust, is built around relationships of mutual trust and respect with our clients. As PenChecks continues to grow our client base at a rapid pace, the need to nurture each relationship becomes even more important to our success and yours. That’s why we hired Cristina Stanton to serve as our Relationship Management Director.

Cristina has more than two decades of experience growing and maintaining client relationships in the retirement planning space. Her work history includes serving as Director of Client Services for vWise Inc., as well as Senior Account Director, VP of Sales at Newkirk Products, Inc., and other relationship management positions, making her eminently qualified for her current position at PenChecks.

Building Partner Relationships

At PenChecks, Cristina’s primary areas of focus include ensuring the Client Experience team understands the needs of our clients and providing enterprise-level clients with onboarding, implementation and technical training to ensure successful adoption of our new Amplify platform. However, her technical expertise is only part of the value she brings to our clients. Cristina’s innate service orientation and superb communication skills play a key role in earning the trust and loyalty of our clients. It also helps that she loves her job.

“Every day I come to work aiming to help PenChecks work more effectively with our clients,” says Cristina. “By actively listening to understand their expectations for the relationship, we can do a better job of staying in front of clients issues rather than responding to them after they occur. We want all our clients to experience the relationship as a trusted partnership rather than just a series of vendor/client transactions.

“I joined PenChecks because I have a lot of respect for co-founder and Chairman Peter Preovolos, his son Spiro (President and CEO), and the company as a whole. We are known throughout the industry as an honorable family-owned business, and I get to work with great clients who enjoy working with us. I also enjoy interacting with the PenChecks sales team and the internal support team, seeing what they’re doing to grow the company and how I can support them in their efforts.”

Know Better, Do Better

Cristina was born and raised in Sao Palo, Brazil, and studied abroad in Madrid, Spain. She attended Simmons College, in Boston, and graduated on the dean’s list with a B.A. in Public Relations and Marketing Communications. Cristina fluently speaks three languages Portuguese, Spanish and English. After graduating she relocated to upstate New York to be close to her family.

Cristina loves snow skiing and outdoor activities, but doesn’t like living in the cold, so she moved to St. Petersburg, Florida where she works remotely for PenChecks. She enjoys running, spin classes, and an active lifestyle which includes warm beaches and boating.

Cristina believes we’re all trying to figure out life as we grow through the different stages of age and career. She lives by her personal motto, “Give it your all, don’t be afraid to make mistakes, and be honest, humble and patient.”
