PenChecks, Inc. Onboards New Southeast Regional Director

SAN DIEGO, CA, April 26, 2024 – PenChecks, Inc., parent company of PenChecks Trust®, a recognized leader in outsourced benefits distribution solutions, is pleased to announce the hiring of John Maury as Regional Director for the Southeast and parts of the Midwest. Maury’s focus at PenChecks will involve consulting with TPA companies on implementing PenChecks services to improve their operational efficiency and client experience.

With 16 years of experience in the financial services industry, Maury brings a diverse background to the PenChecks team. His previous positions included two stints with John Hancock, first as a Retirement Plan Sales Associate and later as a TPA Regional Marketing Director. He also worked as a small market 401k wholesaler for Principal Financial Group, and later was promoted to Director of TPA Distribution to help develop Principal’s national TPA growth strategy. In between these two companies he advised small business owners on taxes, accounting, and retirement plans as part of a CPA firm.

“John’s business philosophy centers on three pillars – relationships, leadership, and efficiency,” says Spiro Preovolos, PenChecks President and CEO. “He has always been drawn to finding ways to help businesses solve problems and improve their operational efficiencies, and his background, experience, and genuine concern for helping clients makes him a perfect fit for PenChecks.

John is a licensed Certified Public Accountant, a Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor, and a member of the National Institute of Pension Administrators and the American Retirement Association. He received a bachelor’s degree in economics from East Carolina University and a master’s degree in professional accountancy from Georgia State University.
